Brighton might be the most cold-water-enthusiastic city in England - its Swimming Club has been in the sea since 1860, and the beachfront sauna-and-dip scene has made cold immersion part of the city's identity. A home tub is not an alternative to that; it is the weekday infrastructure behind it.
The catch with Channel swimming is the calendar: by late summer the sea off Brighton is far too warm to count as cold exposure, and in rough weather the shingle is no place to be. A chiller-run tub holds proper cold in August and flat-calm in a Force 8.
The sea at Brighton swings from roughly 7°C in March to 18°C+ in late summer - half the year outside any meaningful cold-exposure range. A garden or courtyard tub holds the researched 11–15°C every day of the year, which is why a tub makes sense for Brighton sea swimmers: it is how you keep your cold between proper swims.

Because the sea stops being cold. From June to October the Channel off Brighton is typically above the 11–15°C band the research uses, and winter storms cancel sessions. The tub is the consistency layer: exact temperature, clean water, every day.
If you have the room, yes. Our foldable tubs are about 80cm across, so measure your courtyard, patio or bathroom first. The Plunge 80 is the lowest-priced option, the Plunge 320 adds an all-weather lid and accessories, both fold down for moves, and a chiller means no ice bags up the communal stairs.
