Delivery, returns, sizing and safety - the things people actually ask before and after they buy, with links to the policies and research behind each one.
We deliver across the UK and to 20 euro-area countries. Delivery is free on all orders over £100; smaller orders carry a flat delivery fee that's shown at checkout before you pay.
Delivery times vary by product, and our shipping policy sets them out in full. Every order is tracked, and we email you a tracking number as soon as it ships.

Depending on the item and the order value, import VAT or duty may be collected by the carrier on delivery. Our shipping policy explains exactly when that can apply.
Many of our suppliers don't accept change-of-mind returns, so we don't offer returns beyond your legal rights: you can cancel within 14 days of delivery (return postage at your cost), and anything that arrives faulty or damaged is replaced or refunded. Large items such as tubs, chillers and saunas can't be returned for a change of mind beyond that 14-day right. Once we've received the return, we refund your original payment method within 14 days.
Yes. As a UK or EU consumer you can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order, under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Tell us within that period and return the item unused; return postage is at your cost unless the item was faulty or damaged.
Our chillers are covered by your consumer rights. If one arrives faulty or develops a fault, contact us and we'll arrange a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act.
Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the item arrived faulty or damaged - in which case we cover the cost of the return and send a replacement or full refund. Your statutory rights are never affected by our policy.
Pick by what you want in the box. The Plunge 80 (80 × 75cm) is the essential tub at our lowest price - just the tub, no lid or accessories. The Plunge 320 (83 × 73cm, over 380 litres per the supplier) comes with an all-weather lid, triple-layer insulated fabric, an inflatable headrest ring, a seat cushion and a hand pump.
Both work. Adding ice is the cheapest way to start and fine for occasional plunges, but it means buying and hauling ice for every session and the temperature drifts as it melts. Our bundles pair a tub, chiller and accessories at a lower combined price than buying each piece on its own - the Starter Bundle is the simplest complete setup, and the Performance Bundle steps up to the colder Chill Core 500. The recovery studies pooled in Machado and colleagues' 2016 meta-analysis clustered around roughly 11–15°C (50–59°F), not ice-water extremes. Colder is not reliably better within the studied range - get into that band, stay comfortable, and treat extra intensity as personal preference rather than a proven multiplier.
The same research clusters immersion times at roughly 11–15 minutes for recovery, not 'as long as you can stand it.' Beginners should build up gradually from much shorter dips rather than starting at the top of that range.
For most healthy people, done sensibly, yes - but respect the risks. The first 30–90 seconds trigger the 'cold shock response': an involuntary gasp, faster breathing and a spike in heart rate and blood pressure. Enter gradually, never plunge alone, and if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, are pregnant or have any medical concern, check with your doctor first.

With a chiller you can run the same water for weeks with basic maintenance: use a filter, keep it covered, rinse off before you get in, and dose with the right sanitiser. The water-care guide explains a simple routine.
If you're shopping from a euro-area country, prices are shown in euros. Kaldera isn't VAT-registered, so no VAT is added at checkout. Import VAT or duty may be collected on delivery for some orders - our shipping policy explains when.
