Read the included manual before assembly. The supplied parts include six support legs, a hand pump for the inflatable top ring, a drain hose and a seal ring. Plan where the water will drain before filling. Once emptied, the tub folds down for storage; the included lid keeps debris out between sessions.

Use the included lid to keep debris out between sessions and the supplied drain hose when emptying the tub. Follow the manual for cleaning and storage. The lid is a debris cover; it is not a filter or water treatment system.

Both work. Ice is the cheapest way to start. For a set temperature without ice runs, pair it with a chiller rated for the volume: the Chill Core 500 is rated by its supplier for up to 500 litres and cools to roughly 4–9°C. The Chill Core 300 is rated for up to 300 litres, so it only suits this tub filled below that.

The recovery studies pooled in Machado and colleagues' 2016 meta-analysis clustered around roughly 11–15°C - not ice-water extremes. Colder is not reliably better within the studied range.
